There were many great teachers during my time at the Mount. But I want to recognize and say thank you to Mr. Tom Hughes. I had the good fortune to have Mr. Hughes for Physics his first year teaching at MSJ. That experience helped to instill in me a desire to study physics and engineering after graduating from The Mount forming the basis for a lifelong career.
Mr. Hughes was not only an inspiration to us as students in the classroom but would also attended and supported extracurricular events his students were involved in including sports and drama. As his career continued at The Mount, he would teach multiple generations of the same family. The Mount has been blessed because of the efforts of Mr. Hughes.
